I’ve been taking lessons with Liz for over a year now and I feel like her lessons have greatly improved my vocal ability and control. The vocal warm-ups that she begins each lesson with have helped me strengthen parts of my voice that I felt were unstable. In addition to vocal lessons, Liz was a great help in providing guidance and helpful feedback when I was applying to Berklee College of Music. She helped me prepare for what I would encounter in my audition, and she shared valuable tips on how to make the most of the placement exams so that I wouldn’t be placed in classes that were too easy or too difficult. She has a welcoming, easy-going presence and gives useful feedback on both vocal techniques and applying those techniques to songwriting.

I have taken two lessons with Liz and she has been an incredible teacher! During lessons she is encouraging, kind, and passionate. Another aspect of her lessons I really enjoyed is that she orients exercises to your specific goals to help you accomplish what you want as a singer. Her explanations are well thought out and she will check in with you to see if you need concepts to be explained a different way. Overall, I feel very comfortable asking her for guidance and would definitely take more lessons with her if I have the chance!

Liz is a dedicated and thoughtful teacher! I went in never having done singing lessons before, and she encouraged me so much. I felt like I could sing without judgement in her classes and really practice my skills in a safe space. She was also very attentive to my needs, and pivoted with ease when a technique wasn’t clicking for me. Overall, it was an amazing experience that I’d highly recommend to anyone interested!

We were so fortunate to have had Liz Zabala as our music educator at our K-5 after-school program for the 2024-2025 school year. She is an extraordinary educator who possesses much patience and enthusiasm for teaching and sharing the joy of music with young people. Throughout the school year, Liz was a caring leader and inspired all ages to explore music in so many different ways. She was a phenomenal music director for our annual theater performance and successfully led over 40 students in learning the music and lyrics to several songs, which they in turn performed exceptionally well to the delight of our audience. I most highly recommend her to any classroom, school, and child care environment!

Liz is a wonderful musician with a large skill set. She completed the Pro Voice Teacher Mentorship program and has a great deal of knowledge and musicianship to share!
