Elizabeth (Liz) Zabala

Singer - Conductor - Teacher

Passionate about creating music, Elizabeth (Liz) Zabala is always looking to collaborate and work with others. Born and raised in Calgary, Canada, she grew up listening to her mom and aunts singing constantly, and frequently watched classic musicals with her grandfather. Liz is now based in the Boston area, where she completed her Bachelor of Music Degree at Berklee College of Music. She has also completed a Pro Voice Teacher Mentorship Program to refine her voice teaching skills.

Liz currently teaches at Ward After-School Program as well as at School of Rock, and is the Assistant Conductor of the Saxyderms, a Boston based saxophone ensemble. She formerly served as the Assistant Conductor of the Boston Festival Orchestra and made her conducting debut at Jordan Hall with them, conducting the choral section of Gustav Holst’s “The Planets”. In her spare time, Liz enjoys exploring Boston with her dog, Truffle, trying new foods, and spending time with her friends and family. Liz loves to conduct, sing, teach, and most of all, share her passion for music with others.
