Save Time and Money

There are ways to prepare for Berklee that will save you time and money when you start, so that you can focus on the things that are most important to you.

Book a session with Liz to review materials that will help you prepare for your Berklee Entering Student Proficiency Assessments (ESPAs). If you do well on the ESPAs, which include topics such as: Ear Training, Harmony, and Writing Skills, you will be able to test out of required Berklee core-music classes, giving you more time to spend on your craft, or ultimately even graduate early!

Liz graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee with a degree in Vocal Performance in 3 years (rather than the usual 4), and she can help you do the same.

Save Time and Tuition with ESPA Preparation

Your ESPAs determine where you’ll be placed in Berklee’s core subjects and your results can make a major difference. Scoring well means you can test out of lower-level courses, reducing your workload and saving thousands in tuition.

Most music schools, including Berklee, allow new students to test out of lower-level core music classes through exams such as ESPAs or Credit-by-Exam (CBX) systems. Scoring well on these can dramatically shorten your degree timeline.

Here’s what that can mean in real numbers:

  • Credits saved: 32 credits
  • Tuition per year (32 credits): $50,540
  • Cost of living per year in Boston (rent alone): $24,000
  • Total savings: $74,540

Students who prepare strategically for these exams often reduce their study time by up to a full year without missing any essential learning. This means less time in required classes, more time for creative electives, and a faster path toward your professional goals.

Support During Your Berklee Journey

Once you begin your studies, Liz continues to help you navigate Berklee’s unique academic path. From preparing for high-rating ensemble auditions to excelling in required courses like Conducting 1 and 2, her coaching ensures you stay confident and capable through every stage of your degree.

She also offers personalized support for performance readiness, theory comprehension, and adapting to Berklee’s fast-paced learning environment — so you never feel behind.

Guidance Beyond the Classroom

During her time working at Berklee’s Registrar’s Office, Liz learned the ins and outs of transfer credit processes and degree planning. She now uses that knowledge to help students identify smart opportunities for post-matriculation credits, plan efficient course loads, and graduate on time or even early.

Her goal is simple: to help you save time, money, and unnecessary stress while staying on track toward your goals.

Continued Coaching and Parent Communication

From acceptance to your final semester, Liz continues to guide students as a trusted mentor. Her coaching adapts to each student’s goals, whether it’s preparing for an audition, tackling a new course, or planning a faster academic path. You’ll also benefit from flexible scheduling and clear communication with parents to ensure continued growth and accountability throughout your Berklee journey.
